RFPs to be Issued in Early 2009 for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Workforce Investment Act Programs
Community-based organizations play a critical role for the Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) in offering its various workforce development programs. The office annually partners with a variety of organizations in achieving its mission of placing residents with skill development and job placement opportunities.
OED is preparing to issue two Requests for Proposals in early 2009 for community-based organizations needed for the upcoming program beginning July 1, 2009. RFPs will be issued for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) adult and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) youth programs.
To educate the community about these programs and related contracting opportunities, OED is holding the following community meetings:

Interested community-based organizations are invited to attend.
The first meeting will provide information about current programming. The January 15 meeting will be an open forum, in which attendees can provide input to improve the RFP process and programming.
