Elderly Housing Assistance
Elderly Housing CHOICES provides referrals to lower-income elderly who have special housing needs. The Hotline maintains a list of over 20,000 rentals, including apartments, houses, duplexes, mobile homes, wheelchair accessible units and personal care housing. Downpayment & Foreclosure Assistance
If you need home ownership or foreclosure assistance, funds to meet the extra cost of buying a home are available through the Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation. Low-interest, short-term loans can be made to help you purchase your first home.  Call the Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation at 303.572.9445

Real Estate Developer Assistance
If you’re a real estate developer, the Denver Housing Initiatives (DHI) process helps developers access low-interest loans for new construction or redevelopment projects. It is designed for, but not limited to, non-profit organizations. Proposals may be funded by one or more of the following sources: The City of Denver, the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, and the Colorado Division of Housing.  Projects should be designed to provide affordable housing, meet the needs of special populations and/or limit neighborhood deterioration.  Contact the Division of Housing & Neighborhood Development at 720.913.1999.

The Section 108 Program from the Division of Housing & Neighborhood Development provides interim financing to developers to acquire, rehabilitate, and construct off-site improvements for both rental and for sale housing. The Section 108 Program is intended to be used with other public and private financing sources. Applicants must demonstrate that the project could not go forward without the requested funds.   Call Housing & Neighborhood Development at 720.913.1999.

Rental Rehabilitation Assistance
If you’re a landlord, low interest loans are available through the Rental Rehabilitation Program (RRP) for the costs of rehabilitation of rental structures to provide long-term, affordable housing. Call the Division of Housing & Neighborhood Development at 720.913.1999 for details.

Homeowner Rehabilitation Assistance
If you own your own home, there’s Single Family Rehabilitation (SFR). Qualified homeowners whose houses need roof, electrical, plumbing repairs and more can have their homes rehabilitated through this special low-interest loan program. To improve your house economically, call the Denver Urban Renewal Authority at 303.534.3872 to see if you qualify.

Emergency Home Repair
The City of Denver provides loans to correct emergency situations for very low-income homeowners. EHR only applies to situations that immediately threaten the health and safety of the occupants, and would require the homeowner to vacate the house. Insulate and Seal Rebates
Properly insulating and sealing a home can help reduce monthly energy bills and make your home more comfortable. Greenprint Denver has partnered with the Colorado Energy Science Center and the Governor's Energy Office's 2008 Insulate Colorado program to offer cash-back rebates to qualifying Denver homeowners in the City and County of Denver that make energy efficient improvements to their homes.
