How to Sell Your Affordable Home

Owners of workforce homes that are seeking to sell their home within their control period are required to sell their homes to income-certified buyers.

Prior to marketing the house for-sale, please obtain a maximum allowable resale price by completing the Maximum Resale Price Form and submitting it via e-mail to Stephanie Inderwiesen.

After obtaining a maximum resale price, you can proceed to list and market your home. The City requires that you list your property on the ColoradoHousingSearch.com website and refers anyone interested in purchasing an available home to visit this website.

The price for which you can sell or refinance a workforce home is restricted throughout the control period. You should know that your home does not have a “market” value while the control period is in effect. Although your home can be appraised at market value, you are required to sell it at or below the maximum resale price. There is no guarantee that you home can be sold at the maximum resale price.
