Transportation Assistance

TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE: 
The Division of Workforce Development offers transportation assistance to qualified individuals to support their ability to obtain or maintain work. Transportation assistance may include bus passes or gasoline vouchers, and are available to individuals registered in a qualifying program through one of our Workforce Centers. 

Registered customers should contact their Employee Specialist directly to determine if they are eligible to receive transportation assistance. Customers who are not registered may visit or call their local workforce center for more information.

REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT (RTD)
Denver’s Regional Transportation District, known as RTD, offers the public a variety of transportation schedules and fares for bus and light rail use. Their comprehensive web site is available in Spanish as well as English. The following programs may not be available in all areas.

Call-n-Ride curb-to-curb service, designed to supplement existing RTD service and make it easy for commuters, school children, and others to get where they need to go.
The SeniorRide provides the opportunity for seniors 55 and older to attend a variety of cultural events and activities.
Access-a-Ride provides curb-to-curb transportation to passengers who are unable to use regular buses, and qualify for certification under the guidelines established by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADD) of 1990.
RTD's Night Stop bus service provides added safety for bus passengers traveling at night between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Night stop allows passengers to get off the bus at any safe location along a regular route, even if it is not a designated RTD bus stop.
RTD also offers many schedules and programs for shopping, sporting and holiday events.

ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE:
The following organizations may provide emergency assistance including bus tokens to individuals meeting established requirements. Funds and programs may be limited, and each organization sets its own guidelines. Please call for more details.
