Services for People with Disabilities

Services for People with Disabilities

DWD offers specialized services for individuals with disabilities who may need additional assistance to re-enter the workforce and become fully employed.

Benefits Planners are available by appointment to help SSI and SSDI recipients understand how income from work may affect their Social Security benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, and other support programs.  Benefit Planners can help customers understand the various work incentives that exist to help them maximize their return-to-work efforts, and they are also available to assist customers with disabilities on understanding the Social Security disability application process.  See a Business Development Associate at a Center near you to schedule an appointment!

Disability Program Navigators assist individuals with disabilities to secure and access services needed to obtain and maintain employment, provide information on resources including linkages to specific services within the community, and facilitate appropriate referrals within the workforce center and community partners.

Access One-Denver Workforce Employment Network assists eligible SSI and SSDI beneficiaries, through the Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work Program, to access and secure appropriate workforce services to obtain and maintain employment. To learn more about this program or to become a participant, see a Business Development Associate at a Center near you today!
